DAMAMAX Private Lines (DPLs) provide a Point-to-Point, Point-to-Multipoint and full mesh direct links, that are personalized for enhanced security, and used by an organization for internet access, business data exchange, video conferencing, and to communicate between offices locally and around the world.
DAMAMAX also provides secured national and international private telecommunication links, known as International Private Leased Circuit (IPLC) needed by many corporations and organizations.
With DPLs, businesses that need to constantly exchange large volumes of data between sites, can maximize their data throughput by having exclusive connectivity between their points of presence, transferring data through a constant state of readiness with the highest availability in the industry.
DPLs are supported over legacy TDM/SDH networks in addition to the latest IP MPLS and Carrier Ethernet technologies.
DPL commercial agreements can include multiple international providers. Customers have the option to order circuits individually from more than one provider in what is known as half-circuit setup. Alternatively, the entire circuit can be ordered from DAMAMAX including the international portion in what is known as One Stop Shop (OSS).
A synchronous TDM technology developed to carry large digital voice circuits in multiples of 64 kbps slots over E1 circuits. As data became more prevalent, the same technology was used to carry larger volumes over STM-1, STM-4, STM-16 and STM-64 circuits. The same technology can also provide Ethernet interfaces to cater for the most widely available interface used in data networks. SDH synchronous timing to carry voice traffic makes it ideal for time-sensitive traffic such as digital video transmissions.
IP-MPLS was developed by the IETF utilizing IP routers to provide very reliable and secure private lines also known as VPNs. IP-MPLS can have a variety of VPN configurations not possible over legacy TDM technology. This technology is ideally suited to Point-to-Multipoint and full mesh configurations. It can also provide different qualities and class of services, which makes it easier to find more suitable applications and priced more competitively than legacy technology. IP-MPLS is a mature technology with proven quality of service record. IP-MPLS supports 1GE, 10GE in addition to all SDH interfaces.
Developed by the IEEE to provide similar services to IP-MPLS, it utilizes advances in Ethernet switching technologies that make it suitable for deployment in the WAN environment. The lower cost of Ethernet switches and support for a variety of WAN configurations (E-Line, E-LAN and E-Tree) makes it a competing technology to IP-MPLS. However, unlike IP-MPLS, it is designed to carry Ethernet traffic while MPLS can carry older technologies such as ATM, Frame-Relay and enables interworking between them. Ethernet supports 1GE and 10GE interfaces.
